Guest performance by the Theatre “Jordan Hadzi Konstantinov – Džinot” in Split
On November 17, the "Jordan Hadzi Konstantinov Dzinot" Theater from Veles visited Split, Croatia with the play "The Blue Orange", based on a text by John Penhall and directed by Aleksandar Ivanovski. The event was organized at the invitation of the Macedonian Cultural Association "Macedonia" from Split, which, with its dedication, enabled Macedonian theater art to be presented to the local audience and Macedonians living in Croatia.
The roles in the play are played by Faik Mefailovski, Zharko Spasovski and Blagojcho Stojanov, who with their masterful acting brought this powerful drama to life and left a strong impression on the audience. The audience had the opportunity to enjoy an emotional and engaging performance that raised important questions about human relationships, trust and the boundaries between reason and emotion.
The visit was part of the event "Macedonian Cultural Autumn in Split" and represented a significant step in the promotion of Macedonian culture beyond the borders of the country. The event once again confirmed that theater is a living bridge between people, which brings cultures closer together and builds friendships through art.
With this guest performance, the Theatre “Džinot” strengthened its role as an ambassador of Macedonian theatrical art and emphasized the importance of such cultural exchanges, which enrich the international stage and maintain the connection with the Macedonian diaspora. The event demonstrated that Macedonian theatre has much to offer beyond the country’s borders, and each such performance affirms its value and significance.
These guest performances are of exceptional importance as they bring the Macedonian diaspora closer to their homeland’s culture, promote Macedonian theatrical creativity on the international stage, and serve as a reminder that art is a universal language that builds friendships and understanding.
