
THEATRE IN FOCUS
The National Institution Center for Culture "Jordan H.K.-Djinot", Veles is one of the oldest and leading theater institutions in North Macedonia, founded in 1948. The theater is named after its patron Jordan Hadzi Konstantinov Dzinot - the first Macedonian playwright and founder of the Macedonian theater. The theater has a long and rich history of 70 years of production. All of the leading Macedonian theater artists began their careers on the stage of this theater.
Zharko Spasovski – Ceo
Spasovski graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje in 2013, in the class of Professor Vladimir Milchin. His professional engagement in the Veles Theater "Jordan Hadzi Konstantinov Dzinot" began the same year, immediately after graduation. Actor Spasovski has so far played in about 40 plays at his home theater and has also been engaged in other theaters throughout Macedonia.
Zarko Spasovski was appointed as the new director of the Veles Theater by Minister Zoran Ljutkov on August 15, 2024.
For the past four years, the director of the Veles Theater "Jordan Hadzi Konstantinov Dzinot" has been playwright Sasho Dimoski.
